Balanced Advisory respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

When you use our enquiry form, we collect the email address or phone number you choose to provide. If you later contact us or become a client, we may collect other information that is reasonably necessary to respond to you or provide agreed services.
Our website host may also process limited technical information, such as an internet protocol address, browser information and security logs, where this is necessary to operate and protect the website.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information to respond to enquiries, communicate with prospective and existing clients, provide agreed services, maintain appropriate business records and protect the security of our website and systems.
You do not have to provide personal information through the website, but we will need a way to contact you if you would like us to respond to an enquiry.
How we use and disclose information
We use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected, or for a directly related purpose that you would reasonably expect. We do not sell personal information.

Website hosting and form processing
This website is hosted by Netlify. Enquiry form submissions are processed and stored through Netlify’s form service and may be processed outside New Zealand. We use service providers on the basis that they maintain safeguards appropriate to the services they provide.
Storage and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.
Cookies and analytics
Balanced Advisory does not currently use advertising cookies or website analytics. Our hosting provider may use essential technologies required to deliver, secure and operate the website.
Access and correction
You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request that it be corrected. Some legal exceptions may apply.
